Disclaimer : I do not like to post descriptions about songs, but due to certain political and religious views,
I think that it is a good idea to further explain the idea behind the songs below. I would prefer to just leave
the lyrics and music that we produce open to interpretation, but I feel the need to clarify a little bit.
Certain songs have their own unique meaning to me and I explain them the way that I feel is fit.

1) Pusher - The power of suggestion one shouldn't underestimate, (Pusher) has his way when he can look you in the eyes with a calm intent to manipulate, (Oshu) With a drive that is relentless he has force, bending wills to provocate, Unwittingly mesmerized by cloaked, malicious hate, (Pusher) knows that in the art of war you eighty-six the fear of death, yourself, then bet, (Oshu) The opposition has to make a move and choose, whether or not it's time to win or lose, Just a simple twist of fate, each one thinks he'll win the game, You had to push it over the edge, call the bluff and take a chance, over the edge, watch us as we dance, (Pusher) I thrust, I can't see what the outcome will even be, but I know I'll take my chance, this I must to see the end, Over the edge now and I'm looking under my feet and brace for impact, (Pusher) I will thrust.

*Synopsis: After looking for an intriguing theme, I remembered a particular X-Files episode, in which a man possessed the ability to 'Push' his victims into doing certain acts, etc. Having also recently watched some movies with different takes on the idea of what a 'Pusher' is, or might be, I was inspired. The meaning that I take away from this song is that there are always two powers at play, when confronted by another, or having to confront someone. The most successful of the two minds is obviously the victor of whatever outcome, however, the possibility is there for either the offensive or the defensive position to be found standing in the end. It is all on how you perceive it and what the approach may be. Either way, you have to make a move and thrust forward.

2) A New Thing - This is a new day, it's the epitome of this moment, my psycho-surgery, Incite the mindless, a cognitive defeat, a new horizon for all to see, The hounds of hell pursue so well, I'm a butterfly that's lost it's wings, We fall from grace and live to tell this terrible truth and it's pangs, One, we go blind and can't see our way, Two, we go numb and cannot feel the pain, Three, we get mad and then we do the same, I'm bringing you down, You're bringing me down, I need a break, help me find the strength to carry all my burden's or just strengthen up my back, God help me to find the strength, This is a new day and I will learn to find a way, because I will do a new thing, Everyone has that violent shame, the one that preys when you're guilty, but you can learn to choose for yourself and be the best that you can be, One, learn to forgive instead of hate, Two, have no fear you can bear the weight, Three, because everyone has made their mistakes, I got your back, do you got my back? Carry the weight, help me find the strength to carry all my burdens or just strengthen up my back, God help me to find the strength, This is a new day and I will learn to find a way, because I will do a new thing, Where is life? It is right in front of you! I will do a new thing.

*Synopsis: The importance of learning to think constructive and see things from multiple points of view is an acquired skill. In fact, some live their entire life without having the proper skills to do so, I feel fortunate that I found a way to do so. For me, things seemingly required a change, once I made the decision and the opportunity arose, I realized who I am and that I was looking at some things from the wrong perspective. Life changes very fast sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. It is my belief that both require an attitude adjustment and an awareness of yourself and how constructive your interactions are in all walks of life.

3) Two Thieves - Here we are with arms wide-open, tied up at the wrists from either side, legs crossed over, as both are broken, the air in our lungs slowly subside, ‘Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?’ One is on the left, one is on the right, one is on the... (I am no Christ) Save yourself and save us all, if you claim to be who you are, Do you not have fear of God? As you face the same condemnation, ‘Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?’ One is on the left, one is on the right, one is on the... (I am no Christ) Join me, briefly as we enter into the fellowship of thieves, on this earth you'll claim to be one of these two, Tell me, which one are you?

*Synopsis: Compares and contrasts the two thieves beside Christ at the time of crucifixtion. Jesus Christ's persona is one of sacrifice. For Christians and non-belivers alike, His example is unique to His own and impossible to be achieved by anyone ever. No matter what we do, the common belief of most, is that of these two thieves. Their words are coined verbatim in the second verse. Being named Christopher "Follower of Christ" and having the backround that I have, many have looked to me in ways I could not give them what they needed. It was in my most desperate hour that I cried out in frustration of others association of me and George Bush, the war, etc. that I felt unfairly judged by some. Stating "I am no Christ!" is not a declaration but a proclamation of the two thieves shame that we all carry with us innately. This song title is obviously not a personal claim of having an Anti-Christ attitude.

4) Fear Of The Unknown - Who I am, is all I know, can I change and let this go? That's the trouble with the fear of the unknown, Watch me unfold as a flower grows, as the story goes, My soul is lifted up into the sky, Got to pick up myself, Got to pick up the pieces of my life, That's the trouble with the fear of the unknown, The spirits within, channel their source, over-whelming force, my soul is lifted up into the sky, Got to pick up myself, Got to pick up the pieces of my life, That's the trouble with the fear of the unknown, Oh, you gotta let it go, Oh, I gotta let it go, The fear of the unknown. (Reprise)

*Synopsis: Rings true to those not sure of the next step. Knowledge is power, knowing who you are is important, however it is common to have a false perception of yourself and for that matter others. More importantly you come to the point where change is inevitable, whether by choice or not. Letting go where needed is essential. It is a scary reality to not be able to let go and have to hear the audible and synoptic thoughts of other's race through your mind and haunt you. Overcoming your state of mind can be a challenge at times as fear is a manipulative emotion.

(A 12 song acoustic cd released in 2009.)
© Copyright 2009 lyrics written by Chris Davis, unless otherwise noted below song.

1) Shadow - I see the world in green and blue my friend, is it true? Is it really you? Or is it your shadow? I can't believe what I'm seeing, is it true? Is it really you? Or is it a memory? Now is it your shadow? Is it a memory? Is it your shadow? Oh, into the halls, Of this so-called life that I once knew to be true, Is just fading, in this life I have re-discovered, Something so pure, I need it just to survive, Now I have to continue to sacrifice, Just to keep all of these dreams alive, Now I have to learn to live day by day, Yes, I will survive, Was it really you, or was it really me at all?

*Synopsis: This song is lyrically vague and uses allegory like, "I see the world in green and blue, my friend." Which means I have my up's and my down's, just like you. Sometimes the outcome of something is unexpected, but hey, that is part of life, right? A couple of years ago, or so, I found that looking to the past, helped me figure out what I was doing sort of speak, helped me discover where I was and what I was doing. This can be a dark place to visit. Facing those inner demons. Sacrifice for your dreams and your passions, your family, your friends and the realization that there is always hope. Finding that balance and learning how not to let others get the best of you and knowing when to say when, in regards to sacrifice for a friend, without getting burned. After the fact, sometimes we see the shadow of the past in our relationships, situations, etc. and we truly realize that it wasn't necessarily our fault or the other person's and that we have no control over what other people do.

2) Fear Of The Unknown - *For lyrics and synopsis of this song, see the 'Pusher' EP above and look for the last song entry. Only difference is that this version is acoustic.

3) The Question - Correlate initiatives or accept the monster from within, Is he asleep, or waking up? It is too hard to tell in these times, Will sweet rejection be avenged? Once again? That is the question, A matter of perspective is another option to ignorance, Yes, it is bliss or, so they say, What will they mark upon your grave? And the question is to be, or not be? To be, or not to be, that is the question, To be, or not to be? Another self-reflection, you see, or choose not to see, Judged by complexion, Set it free and now it's time to see, It's so hard to watch the one's we love, sometimes we learn and sometimes we don't grow, and that is why we do our best not to give the power to these questions unsaid.

*Synopsis: One of the most famous quotes in history is from William Shakespeare's 'Hamlet'. "To be or not to be, that is the question." This soliloquy, spoken in the play by the eponymous character, starts off act 3 of scene 1. Being a thinker, realizing that I was at a crossroads in many ways, doing acoustic material was seeming to be very challenging, at the time for me. I was literally and internally asking myself this very question. To continue sacrificing my time and energy or not. Glad that I chose to be...

4) Mea Culpa - Wherever you choose to stand, vulnerable is the hurting man, Inside his eyes tonight, continually open wide for you to see, will you choose to be? Will we really ever know? Sing, Mea Culpa, Women crying dressed in black, the dolphins wish is to meet a man, Yet every time I look into your eyes, I learn to die inside, Over and over again, when will this ever end? Will we really ever know? Sing, Mea Culpa, (Reprise)

*Synopsis: Whatever perspective that we come from, seeing someone in pain is a uncomfortable feeling and thing to think about. Sometimes in life, people make choices and we really don't know the complete explanation as to why. Some are honest enough to provide answers and others are not. Some may eventually own up to their part of being human and making a mistake. Some are not aware of what they are doing. Sometimes, we never truly know if they are sorry for what they did, but I find closure in the fact that life has it's own way of making things right. In addition, sometimes we cannot change certain situations, but we are given chances to redeem ourselves later in life, when a similiar situation may present itself. This is how we learn.

5) Intercessory Wish - Never so high, than when I'm on my knees, (An intercessory wish) Humbled myself, just to gain some strength, (An intercessory wish) Lift me up, like the dove, that was released and set me free, so that I may see if these waters have started to recede, Because I've been drowning, Wake me up because I must be dreaming, (An intercessory wish) I'm out of the box because I stopped the digging, (An intercessory wish) Lift me up, like the dove that was released and set me free, so that I may see if these waters have started to recede, Because I've been drowning and because faith is a sight unseen, I am a visionary and I will see right through this, Or am I dreaming? Now close your eyes and throw in your coin, because a wishing well only works when you don't tell, Lift me up like the dove, that was released and set me free, so that I may see if these waters have started to recede, Lift me up like the dove, that was released and set me free so that I may know see.

*Synopsis: I had this friend, he was going through a tough spell, but headed in the right direction. It was good to see all of the support this person got. Supporting him, in a strange way, made up for some past mistakes of my own and kinda helped vindicate some personal whatnot. So, my situation was that I felt like I was on my knees and at a crossroads and strangely enough; I felt I too was on the right track even though things looked pretty bleak. This song also has an image of the dove that was released in order to find out whether or not the largest flood ever to hit the earth had truly dwindled or not. As the story goes. Faith got me through alot and I think that it did my friend too. The truth sets us free, but first it pisses you off, being able to deal with it is another story. Especially if you don't know the situation at hand. It is only when you accept and acknowledge truth that it frees you.

6) Secret Of The Way Things Are - You are one who will understand the wonderful secret, frightful things you will master, why things are and why they continue to be, Meditate on the secrets of the way things are and investigate them at all time, only then, then may you know the secret of the way things are, in this world, Present and potent are these marvelous secrets, terrorized is the holder of why things are and why they continue to be, Reflect on all of the secrets of the way things are and investigate them at all times, only then may you know the secret of the way things are, You are one who must impose discipline on your lips, And your tongue is a double door, when years begin and when eras end, Why it was? And what will become of the sound that is soon to be heard, by the ears of those who will know the truth, Of the secret of the way things are, in this world.

*Synopsis: This song makes reference to and even mentions parts of a very small segment of The Dead Sea Scrolls. The Quarmations were a sect that left sacred writings in a cave near the Dead Sea, which were found in the 1960's I think, I cannot recall exactly right now. But, over time they have been pieced together the best that they can. This segment refers to getting to the meaning of life, as they knew it or thought of it, how the tongue can be a double-door. Meaning that one should think before he/she speaks. Meditating on why things are the way they are brings us understanding and in turn helps us be more patient, empathetic and compassionate. At the end of the bridge before the reprise, there is a hint of themes similiar to the book of Revelations.

7) Someone Else - Time has passed on and the conflict is change, but still, we outlast it, Because too many lies only complicate, I believe in what I feel, No need to lead you, then I'll walk with you, maybe I'm asleep, but there's a part of me that is left behind and I entrust it here to you, do what you will with me, Searching to find what you want the world to see, we lose ourselves along the way, And yet repeatedly you do your best to be there, I find myself in some one else, No need to lead you, then I'll walk with you, maybe I'm asleep, but there's a part of me that is left behind and I entrust it here to you, do what you will with me, Do what you will. (Reprise)

*Synopsis: The lyrics for this song were initially written by Mike Viner. I liked the song so much when I heard his demo of it, I told him that I thought we should do this song and change it up a bit. He had his own reasoning for this song. My interpretation of this song is over time things change, but some things remain the same. In keeping routine maintenance of our lives we must find truth and also speak it as much as possible. People do not necessarily need to be led, they just need someone to walk along side them, we find part of ourselves in them and this inspires us. By searching to find ourselves, we come across individuals that we aspire to be like, also ones that take a part of us with them.

8) Dreams - Turning our dreams into gold, the precious metal we love to hold, but once it is reached will it become everything that we only loathe to be? Turning our dreams into gold, follow the rainbow, make a mold, but once it is seized will we succomb to everything that we only loathe to be? I envy you for what I am not, I envy you for what I have not, Turning our dreams into gold. Turning, our dreams.

*Synopsis: I heard once that a dream is an answer to a question that we haven't learned how to ask yet. I had to ask myself, if I ever achieve any of my dreams, would it be all that it is cracked up to be? Would I succomb to everything I only loathe to be? Sometimes I look around and I envy others gifts, talents and achievements, I'm only human. But at the end of the day, I am happy for them, I wish them the best and I take none for myself. However, I do and will continue to dream and achieve to the best of my ability, the end game that is the answer to my question that I am learning how to ask still.

9) Chaperone - Yeah, there is a place where I like to go, when I need something to show for it, I'm learning to swim, Can you hear the words? No, you can't hear. Open your heart and then unlock the mind, closing your eyes turn the key to right, now hold it tight, Can you see the writing on the walls of my cell? Chaperone, these words are not my own, Can you read the lining on the walls of my heart, Chaperone, this world is not my home, Let them hear the words, Oh, can you hear? Closing the door, for this night is not mine, closing your eyes turn the key to the right, now hold it tight, Can you see the writing on the walls of my cell? Chaperone, these words are not my own, Can you read the lining on the walls of my heart? Chaperone, this world is not my home, Can you hear the words that are coming out of your mouth? Can you see the writing on the walls of my cell? Chaperone, these words are not my own, Can you read the lining on the walls of my heart? Chaperone, this world is not my home.

*Synopsis: No matter what your belief system is everyone has that sense of being watched over, or for that matter being watched. In times of trials and in times of greatness there is the inner-voice that drives us towards our fate. Whether or not you personally have the support system you need to thrive determines alot sometimes. It is in this nature that I have found my voice. No one is a "mind reader" which means you have to learn to communicate for yourself and more importantly learn to be a good listener. This song, in essence, is my way of speaking to my Higher Power and to those around me, stating the following: I don't know what the hell I am doing sometimes, show me the way and teach me to own my actions and words. Also, to learn to not worry about others actions and opinions as much.

10) Lost My Way - Paving the road to hell now, There was nothing to break my fall, not a branch to grab onto, there was no one in place of you, not a cushion to rest my head, I've lost my way and I can only serve you with my best intentions, Reaching out with my best try, consequence of my own failures, reaching out with my mind's eye, consequence of my own self-destruction, I've lost my way and I can only serve you with my best intentions, No more narcissistic visions, that I cannot allow myself to do, no more thinking about you and yours, that I cannot do, No, I am not here for you, I've lost my way and I can only serve with my best intentions, Paving the road to hell now.

*Synopsis: Ever heard of the cliche that good intentions pave the road to hell? Well, I found that out the hard way, sure as hell felt like I was in it sort of speak. Alone, literally, nothing to grab onto. Nowhere to rest my head, no peace, I was lost. However, I still wanted to keep moving forward, even though I knew that my best would not be good enough for some. I chose to reach out still, this was a choice, this was also a symptom of my self-destruction. I had so many things running through my head, it was hard to think cognitively without the gears beginning to turn the other way, two steps forward one step back. Eventually, you get through it, you survive. I made a decision to try and make the best of it.

11) Secret Of The Way Things Are (Ominous Spirit Mix) - Lyrics are the same as track six, the only difference is that the phrase "Spirit Is The Truth" is inserted in the chorus and increases slightly in volume each chorus.

*Synopsis: (Listed above one #6).

12) Memories - How can we ever forget those who make sacrifices? That helped save broken lives, in a time of need, They would always lead us from the beast's mercy, that burns as fire, Doing what they loved just to save lives in need, Their lives carry us through the darkest days, Oh, they have been lost, but they have never been forgotten, smiling down upon us from the heaven's above, Doing what they loved just to save lives in need, Oh, the memories will never fade.

*Synopsis: This song's lyrics were written by Eugene from AFB radio for the Fallen Firefighter Compilation. He hosts the 'Mr. Freeze' show. I edited them for this particular song that Mike Viner wrote the music for. This song is a tribute to our fallen heroes that have made great sacrifices for our country, for our states, for our cities, etc. We carry them with us and remember them everyday for their heroism and we do what we can to honor them in our every day lives. It especially hits home if you have known a family member or friend whom gave the ultimate sacrifice for our precious freedom's in this country.

1) Novocain - I'm anxious, so let's get with it, don't bite down, just grin and bear this, You place a breathing-apparatus on my face, the last I remembered, I heard you call my name, I just can't stand the pain (I feel it) The memory is ingrained (I just can't stand the pain) You're driving me insane (The memory is ingrained) Now I may seem deranged (Give me some novocain) And now I ask of you, (Can you feel it too?) Can you feel this to? (And now I ask of you) I just can't stand the pain (I feel it) Give me some novocain, I'm nauseous, so please take note of this, Don't slow down, I need this over with, you take a thirty-minute break on my time, the least you could do is to tell me, "you'll be just fine" *Repeat chorus (Reprise) Give me something to take for the pain, give me novocain, I just can't stand the pain.

*Synopsis: I used the fear of going to the dentist as a metaphor for life. If you take the time to read the lyrics posted on our player you will pick this idea up. The idea came to me to use an anology for a song while watching Disney's 'Fantasia', believe it or not. I had a very vivid memory that sort of bothered me of getting all my wisdom teeth removed.

2) Every Growing Moment - Every growing moment, we fall asunder, with every growing moment, you slip right through my fingers, and yet the thoughts they seem to build with every growing moment, Ashes to ashes and dust to dust, we fall asunder with every growing moment, It is not that simple anymore, things take more gumption to act out, and yet the complications build with every growing moment, we're building angst that forms resentment, attracting all these actions that I make, (*Repeat chorus) We are connected by the choices that we make, life is risky and that's the chance you have to take, a tapestry of emotions intertwined with fate, what will be the outcome of today? (*Repeat chorus) And yet the thoughts they seem to build with every growing moment, I never knew what to expect, I never lived a life before, All things that I must regret, they have begun to manifest.

*Synopsis: This song is simply about the ability that we have to control things in our lives and also the things that we cannot. In a time where things are made simpler by technology, etc. I find that our lives have more things to do in them, more options of ways that we go about to achieve things. We live in a fast paced society more or less. It is a risky game, this life, but if you want to live it you have to take a risk some times. We do not necessarily know what to expect, but if you are having negative thoughts, try and look at it another way. Some consider this part of life a great joy and experience.

3) Jig Of The Juggernaut - Fascist law subsiding, terror multiplying, dance with me, preacher's not abiding, rulers coinciding, dance with me, This is the dance of America, dance to the jig of the juggernaut, yeah the jig is up, so dance with me, You're stuck right up against the wall, you're just setting yourself up for the next fall, you scoff at all those who have helped you, now see where it has left you, with no one to call, Build you ladder to the sky to stand in judgement, Now don't you see? You don't see, that you have lost at your own game, so dance with me, to the jig of the juggernaut, yeah the jig is up, Candles we are lighting, Christians are all fighting, dance with me, justice not prevailing, innocence is dying, dance with me (*Repeat chorus) You're own game you will lose, unless you look to the one, who always speaks of the truth, dare I say? "She lives in apostasy" Because you give me no choice, because you gave me the voice. Is this the land of the free and the home of the brave? Dance with me to the jig of the juggernaut, this is the dance of America, now dance with me.

*Synopsis: This song was being recorded around '02-'03 and I had an this idea for a song that I had been wanting to use since the year 2000. After 9/11 occurred, it seemed even more relevant to the times ahead. Prophetic in nature, it speaks of America's role in the world and it's evolution. Or devolution, depends on the perspective. Unofficially titled, "The Dance of America", JOTJ speaks true to America's dilemma and the over all state of mind of it's cynical collective, at times. Also, touches base on how the rest of the world perceives us.

4) Inconspicous - I'm inconspicuous, yeah consider me not here, 'Cause I'm paralyzed by your actions, I'm inconspicuous, so tell me, will you miss me? When I am not around, if we are helpless, nothing will save us now, Tell me why you just sit there, when you know, that you are dying inside? 'Cause I'm paralyzed by your actions, I'm inconspicuous, so tell me do you miss me? You don't want me around, Am I just helpless, nothing can save me now, Tell me why you just sit there, when you know, that you are dying on the inside, 'Cause I'm paralyzed by your actions, So delirious, so mysterious, so serious, Tell me why you just sit there, when you know, that you are dying on the inside? 'Cause I'm paralyzed and inconspicuous.

*Synopsis: Sometimes people's actions cause us to be suprised, etc. It is hard to understand on the outside what a person is truly going through. We see them and may wonder why they choose to isolate themselves when they need to be doing the opposite. It is in this state that one seems to be paralyzed.

1) Inconspicuous - Listed above.

*Synopsis: Listed above at #4.

2) The Great Big Wheel- All alone and I'm thinking back on what I have done, all alone and I'm wondering when my day will come, all alone and I'm watching the great big wheel, But I am not alone, I feel a presence, one that I cannot explain, All alone and my life it is falling apart, all alone and there is a big empty space in my heart, all alone and looking to fill the void, The great big wheel spins around this world, watch it spinning around, All alone and there is no one who can stop the change, all alone and it's a shame, time cannot be rearranged, all alone and I hope that I am not out of place, The great big wheel spins around this world, Watch it spinning around, watch it spinning me around, don't you turn away from your problems, raise your head my son, don't hold your words for ransom, watch it spinning around, watch it spinning.

*Synopsis: It's a song about the relentlessness of time and it's ability to be forgiving and unforgiving, at times. It is about seeing the world around us in motion, constant change, knowing that on the other side of the world someone is going through something inexplicable just as you are. It is about facing the change the best we can and how we either try to embrace it, hopefully, not letting it encumber us.
